DETAILS ABOUT THE LEARNERSHIP PROGRAMME:

The Managed People Solutions will allow students the opportunity to be placed in a retail store (with merchandiser duties) and attend class on a monthly basis. After the 12 month learnership is complete, students will acquire a National Certificate in Wholesale & Retail Operations (NQF 2) - SAQA ID 58206.
The programme will provide learners with an opportunity to work while gaining a qualification.

Location: Sandton, Gauteng
Contract term: 12 months

The Learnership contains 10 core modules that are essential to complete and 7 electives that can be selected from.
Core modules: The basic modules of the learnership will include:

  • Occupational learning
  • Wholesale and retail concepts and safety
  • Workplace communication
  • Mathematical literacy
  • Financial aspects
  • Professional behaviour and customer service
  • Point of sale
  • Merchandise and maintain stock
  • Receive and dispatch stock
  • Count stock for stock take

Elective modules: The extra modules of the learnership will include:

  • Legislative understanding
  • Business acumen
  • Performance management and labour relations
  • Product knowledge: relevant to industry
  • Sales skill fundamentals
  • Liquor industry: responsible drinking
  • Health and safety

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:

Before applying, please ensure that you meet ALL of the following minimum entry criteria – failure to satisfy all the requirements will result in your application being disqualified:

  • Age requirement: must be between 18 and 29 years old
  • Education requirement: completed Matric / Grade 12
  • Minimum experience requirement: none
  • Must be currently unemployed
  • Must reside in Gauteng province
