DETAILS ABOUT THE PROGRAMME:

Locations: KwaZulu-Natal, Western Cape, Gauteng
Duration: 12 months (1 March 2023 to 29 February 2024)
Salary: monthly stipend

The Value Group is offering learnership opportunities in Freight Handling and Supply Chain Management, to unemployed youth in 3 provinces. Learners will receive workplace experience will be within an operational environment, as well as theoretical classroom training one week per month.

The NQF Level 3 Freight Handling Learnership is available in KwaZulu-Natal (Pinetown and Cato Ridge), Western Cape (Kraaifontein) and Gauteng (Germiston, Olifantsfontein, Pomona and Isando).
The NQF Level 5 Supply Chain Management Learnership is available in Gauteng (Germiston, Olifantsfontein, Pomona and Isando).

The programme promotes access to education and training for unemployed youth and aims to upskill participants with a qualification that will enable them to be employable in a Logistics and Supply Chain Operational Environment.
 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:

Before applying, please ensure that you meet ALL of the following minimum entry criteria – failure to satisfy all the requirements will result in your application being disqualified:

  • Must be between the ages of 23 and 29 years old
  • NQF Level 3 Freight Handling Learnership: must have completed Matric with a minimum 40% pass rate
  • NQF Level 5 Supply Chain Management Learnership: must have completed Matric with a minimum 50% pass rate
  • Must be willing and able to work from 07:00 to 17:00, from Monday to Friday
  • Must be able to work overtime as and when required
  • Must be able to attend theoretical classroom training one week per month
  • Must be willing to partake in literacy and numeracy assessments
  • Must be willing undergo a criminal check
