DETAILS ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME:

Location: Drakenstein, Paarl, Western Cape

Drakenstein Municipality is offering 3 graduate internships focused on Work Integrated Learning.
They are committed to equal employment opportunities in accordance with the Local Government Sector Education and Training (LGSETA.) This programme is open to unemployed students who have obtained an occupational qualification in a South African accredited TVET College.
 

Programmes Available:
1) Drakenstein Local

  • Duration: 12 months
  • SAQA ID: 90799
  • Number of Positions: 18

2) Drakenstein Municipality 1

  • Duration: 12 months
  • SAQA ID: 90803
  • Number of Positions: 4

3) Drakenstein Municipality 2

  • Duration: 24 months
  • SAQA ID: 67005
  • Number of Positions: 4

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:

Before applying, please ensure that you meet ALL of the following minimum entry criteria – failure to satisfy all the requirements will result in your application being disqualified:

Education requirement:

  • 1) Drakenstein Local: NQF-4 inVocational Civil Engineering and Building Construction
  • 2) Drakenstein Municipality 1: NQF 4 in Vocational Engineering and Related Design
  • 3) Drakenstein Municipality 2: N6 qualification: NQF5 Engineering Studies

  • A Certified copy of your Identity Document
  • Copies of your Academic Transcripts (including most recent)
  • A copy of your formal qualification

 

Please note:
- The certification of all documents should NOT be older than 3-months
- Curriculum Vitae will NOT be returned on applicants request, therefore it is imperative that original certificates and documents are NOT sent with the application but rather, copies.
- Drakenstein Municipality based students will be given preference
- Failure to submit the required documentation will result in disqualification
- All emailed applications must be in by Monday, 22 February 2021 at 23h59
- All hand-in applications must be in by Monday, 22 February 2021 at 16:45
- Should you not hear a response by 31 June 2021, consider your application unsuccessful
