ABOUT THE COMPANY PROVIDING THE INTERNSHIP:
The Office of the Ombud for Financial Services Providers (FAIS Ombud) was established in order to promote consumer protection and enhance the integrity of the financial services industry by way of resolving complaints impartially, expeditiously and economically. The FAIS Ombud offices are situated in the east of Pretoria in Gauteng.
DETAILS ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME:
The Finance Graduate Trainee/ Internship Programme by FAIS Ombud aims to equip recent Accounting graduates with working experience, so that they may find a job within the sector.
The programme will ensure that candidates gain the following skills (which will prepare them for life and the workplace after the programme): workplace etiquette; stakeholder relationships; teamwork skills; problem-solving skills; communication skills and analytical skills.
Location: Pretoria, Gauteng
Duration: 12 months
Salary: details of the remuneration will be discussed during the interview
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:
Before applying, please ensure that you meet ALL of the following minimum entry criteria – failure to satisfy all the requirements will result in your application being disqualified:
- Must be a South African citizen
- Must be unemployed
- Education required: must have complete a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (Accounting) or a Diploma in the Accounting field
- Working experience: none required
- Must have completed course work
- Must be looking for in-service training
- Preference will be given to candidates from designated groups (per the FAIS Ombud’s Recruitment Strategy)
