The City of Johannesburg (CoJ) Group Governance Department are inviting youth residing within Johannesburg to apply for the internship programme. The aim of of the programme is to allow students to experience on-the-job exposure and attain academic qualifications as a pre or post requirement for academic qualifications in accordance with the increasing demands of the tertiary institution.
 

The main goal of the intern is to: assist with admin duties for the Management Support Unit, to ensure that organisational processes are optimal and highest service standards are maintained.

Key Learning Areas: assist the Line manage with admin, interpersonal, PR and professional support skills, to ensure an optimal management support service, and allowing the Department to meet goals and objectives.
 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:

Before applying, please ensure that you meet ALL of the following minimum entry criteria – failure to satisfy all the requirements will result in your application being disqualified:

  • Must reside in Johannesburg
  • Must be between 18 and 35 years
  • Must have completed Matric (NSC certificate)
  • Must be studying towards an Administration or Secretarial Certificate / National Diploma / Degree
  • Must be computer literate and be able to work in MS Office
  • Must be able to work under pressure
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Must have strong communication skills
  • Must be organised
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality
  • Must pay close attention to detail
  • Must be able to plan, prioritise and organize work
