The areas GlobeScan primarily focuses on is reputation, sustainability and stakeholder engagement; this allows them to help their clients understand and see what their communities, workers and clients expect from them. GlobeScan achieves this by conducting many consumer/stakeholder surveys, expert consultations, convenings and benchmarking.
 

DETAILS ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME:

Locations: Stellenbosch, Western Cape
Duration: 6 months

GlobeScan Africa is offering an internship opportunity for the position of junior analyst. The programme will run for 6-months and commence at GlobeScan's Stellenbosch office.

Key performance areas of the programme:

• Performing project support skills
• Ensuring that research processes are managed and followed (this includes all aspects, from data collection, design and quant/qualitative analysis to report writing and visual presentation of data)
• Engaging in business development by conducting client research, issue/sector knowledge and proposal development
• Conducting research when necessary

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:

Before applying, please ensure that you meet ALL of the following minimum entry criteria – failure to satisfy all the requirements will result in your application being disqualified:

• Must have a post-graduate degree in management/ social sciences with a key focus on sustainability/ socio-economic research/ other related disciplines
• Must be knowledgeable about basic project management and social science research methodology (advantageous)
• Must have excellent writing skills
• Must have excellent communication skills in English, as well as an additional language
• Must have excellent skills in Microsoft Office
• Must have a valid passport (and be willing to travel in a team/independently, if required)
• Must have excellent data analytics and visualisation skills (advantageous)
