DETAILS ABOUT THE LEARNERSHIP PROGRAMME:

Location: Lilianton, Gauteng

AECI Mining Chemicals is offering an NQF-2 Chemical Operations Learnership opportunity to students who have completed their Matric with Mathematics and Science. Learners will assist the plant operator with daily duties and perform Ad-Hoc duties.
 

Duties and Responsibilities of the Programme:

  • NQF 2 unit standards plant operation training.
  • Filling and emptying of bags and drums.
  • Loading and offloading of bags/raw materials.
  • General Housekeeping on plant.
  • Operate plant with plant operator’s assistance.
  • Complete production process documentation as per process requirements.
  • Process monitoring and operation after competency declaration.
  • Working at heights.
  • Medically fit to work in a chemical environment (working at heights and in confined spaces).
  • Ability to be trained to drive forklift.
  • Able to work shifts and overtime duties as and when required.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:

  • Must have completed Matric/ Grade 12 with Mathematics and Science as subjects
  • Must be between 18 and 25 years old
  • Must have basic computer knowledge
  • Must have high attention to detail
  • Must have excellent communication skills
  • Must have good time management skills
  • Must be able to work well in a team
  • Must have excellent safety awareness
  • Must be able to work at heights and in confined spaces
  • Must be medically fit to work in a chemical environment
  • Must be able to complete training to drive a forklift
  • Must be able to work shifts and overtime duties when required
