ABOUT THE COMPANY
Nkomati Mineis located in Mpumalanga, between Badplaas, Barberton, Machadodorp, Nelspruit and Waterval-Boven. The mine is a joint venture between Norilsk Nickel Africa and African Rainbow and is one of the biggest mines in the north-east of the country.
ABOUT THE LEARNERSHIP
Nkomati Mine offers learnerships within the following career paths:
- Fitter
- Electrician
- Diesel Mechanic
- Instrument Mechanic
- Plater Welder
- Rigger
The following aspects of the learnership are important:
- Students must undergo to a placement evaluation
- Students must sign a learnership agreement
- Students must attend classes at the training site each day
- Students must make themselves available to the training provider at all time
- Students must take part in all assessment as per their training provider
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Candidates interested in applying for this learnership position should ensure that they meet the following criteria - failure to meet ALL of these requirements will result in your application being denied.
- South African citizen
- Completed Matric
- Passed Mathematics and Physical Science in Matric
- Completed a N2 qualification (advantageous but NOT essential)
- Medically fit (the programme will involve working in the mining environment)
- Willing to relocate for the duration of the programme (for training purposes)
- Willing to attend extensive training for long periods of time
- *Preference to be granted to students from the Nkomati Mine labour sending areas (including: Greater Badplaas, Machadodorp, Waterval Boven and surrounding farms)
