DETAILS ABOUT THE APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAMME:

Location: Sasolburg, Free State

The Omnia Apprenticeship Programme will allow candidates to acquire workplace experience in skills and knowledge relating to their relevant trade. The programme will include structured learning, institutional learning and practical learning.

Theoretical training will be conducted by an accredited provider, trade related practical exposure will be conducted at Omnia Fertilizer Sasolburg site. At the end of the programme, students will receive a red seal qualification (Trade Certificate).
 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:

Before applying, please ensure that you meet ALL of the following minimum entry criteria – failure to satisfy all the requirements will result in your application being disqualified:

  • Education requirement: must have completed Matric and have passed and have passed Mathematics (NOT Mathematical Literacy), Engineering Science, English Language, Related Trade Theory
  • OR
  • Education requirement: must have completed Matric and have passed and N3 Certificate with N3 Mathematics (NOT Mathematical Literacy), N3 Engineering Science, N3 Engineering Drawing, N3 Related Trade Theory and English Language
  • Working experience: none required
  • Must have excellent communication skills
  • Must be self-motivated
  • Must have a high level of energy
  • Must have high attention to detail
  • Must be able to concentrate under pressure
  • Must work to a high quality standard
  • Must be able to abide by academic guidelines
  • Must be able to stick to rigid standards of performance
  • Must have good interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to work carefully and accurately
  • Must be willing to keep current with with advances in techniques and equipment
  • Preference will be given those who reside in Metsimaholo Local Municipality
