ABOUT THE COMPANY PROVIDING THE INTERNSHIP:
FASSET is the Finance and Accounting Services Sector Education and Training Authority, whose mission is to increase the flow of new finance and accountancy entrants into employment; develop and grow the skills required in the sector; and facilitate transformation of the finance and accountancy sector.
The finance and accounting services sector is very important in South Africa, as it is the largest employer of people with financial management, accounting, and auditing skills.
DETAILS ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME:
The FASSET In-Service Training programme is an 18 month programme for students who have completed a N6 Financial Management / Business Management or Management Assistant at a TVET college. FASSET are looking to place learners from public TVET Colleges with employers like the South African Sugar Association (SASA).
Training will take place at one of the following locations: Mount Edgecombe or Maydon Warf (South African Sugar Terminal).
Location: Kwazulu Natal
Duration: 18 months
Industry: Admin, Office Support and Services
Contract: fixed term

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:
Before applying, please ensure that you meet ALL of the following minimum entry criteria – failure to satisfy all the requirements will result in your application being disqualified:
- Must be a South African citizen
- Must be a Black African (in line with FASSET’s strategic transformation objectives)
- Education required: must have successfully completed a N6 Financial Management/ Business Management or Management Assistant at a TVET college
- Must have achieved a minimum overall average of 50%
- Must have excellent communication skills - verbal and written
