DETAILS ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME:

Location: Cape Town, Western Cape
Duration: 36 months (3 years)

BDO is offering an Auditing internship programme in their Accounts/ Auditing Department. This internship is for students who wish to begin their training contract within the BDO Financial Services (FS) division. The internship is a 3-year training contract and in that time, the candidate will learn all the mandatory SAICA competencies which will equip them to pass their APC qualification and register as a Chartered Accountant.

The programme aims to allow the candidates to meet the SAICA requirements and register as a Chartered Accountant with experience and expertise in Asset Management, Banking, Insurance and Funds industries. The candidate will be working in BDO's fast-paced, technology-driven and innovative environment whilst also helping BDO's FS business provide clients with excellent service and further develop the FS industry.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:

Before applying, please ensure that you meet ALL of the following minimum entry criteria – failure to satisfy all the requirements will result in your application being disqualified:

  • Education requirement: must have completed Matric (NSC)
  • Education requirement: must have completed an Honours / CTA / PGDA or equivalent qualification at a SAICA recognised University
  • Must be a 2022 first-year trainee
  • Must be passionate about the Financial Service sector and Financial Markets
  • Must have a willingness to learn and be part of a team
  • Must have excellent technical skills
  • Must have problem-solving abilities
