ABOUT THE COMPANY PROVIDING THE LEARNERSHIP PROGRAMME:
The Sun City resort was first established in 1979 in the North West, making history for both the province and the country. Today, Sun City is one of the top holiday resorts within the country, ensuring a large influx of tourists and overall profit for the hospitality sector.
Sun City is home to the Valley of Waves (a man-made beach experience) sprawled across the border of the Pilanesberg National Park. The resort also prides itself on being the only 'surf-and-safari' destination, promising an experience that will ensure romance, fun, and memories for the whole family.
DETAILS ABOUT THE LEARNERSHIP PROGRAMME:
Location: Rustenburg, Sun City, North West
Duration: 1 year
Sun City Learning and Development Centre is offering a Community Upliftment Learnership Programme (National Certificate in Food and Beverage Management). The learner will be placed within the Food & Beverage department, for a fixed period, which will allow them to gain practical experience in various areas of the business.
After completing the programme, learners will receive a qualification and will be added to the company job database for future vacancies.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:
Before applying, please ensure that you meet ALL of the following minimum entry criteria – failure to satisfy all the requirements will result in your application being disqualified:
- Must have completed Matric
- Must be unemployed
- Must be between the ages of 18 and 35 years old
- Must be fluent in English - able to speak and write
- Must be able to work shifts (such as weekend and public holidays)
- Must be willing to work weekends, shift work and on public holidays
- Must be willing to work in a smoking environment
- Candidates residing in local communities will receive preference
- Candidates with disabilities are encouraged to apply
