DETAILS ABOUT THE GRADUATE PROGRAMME:

Location: Cape Town, Western Cape
Duration: 12 months
Start date: January 2023

Fairtree is offering a Graduate Programme to suitably qualified graduates, in the fields of Marketing, Operations, Solutions and Risk. The programme will allow for graduates to gain experience and grow at a multi-asset firm and learn first-hand from investment professionals.

The Fairtree Graduate Programme is designed for graduates to broaden their skills base, including technical and soft skills development, and kick-start their careers in the asset management industry.
 

Graduates from these fields are invited to apply:

  • Chemistry
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Finance
  • Geology and Mining
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Process/ Chemical Engineering
  • Supply Chain

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:

Before applying, please ensure that you meet ALL of the following minimum entry criteria – failure to satisfy all the requirements will result in your application being disqualified:

  • Must be a South African citizen
  • Must preferably be an EE candidate
  • Must have a valid South African driver’s license
  • Must have completed one of these Bachelor’s degrees:
    • Risk Internship: Bachelor’s degree with Investments, Actuarial, Finance or Statistics as the major subjects. Coding skills are preferred but not essential.
    • Solutions Intern: B.Comm specialising in Investments, Mathematics/ Statistics/ Actuarial or B.Sc in Physics/ Mathematics
    • Operations Intern: Bachelor’s degree in Investments or Finance with Accounting as major subject. Hons / Postgrad diploma would be preferred. Specific interest in middle office operations (controls over security transaction processing and checking the integrity of portfolio management system).
    • Marketing Intern: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing.
