DETAILS ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME:

Location: Centurion, Gauteng
Duration: 6 months

The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) is offering a Human Resource and Protocol Internship opportunity to suitably qualified graduates.

The intern will provide support to the Southern Africa Cluster Delegation, with administration in Protocol and Human Resource unit.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Human Resources

  • Gather payroll data like change of banking details, new staff, salary advance, changes on medical aid and provident fund
  • Screen and process the study allowance when needed
  • Longlist/Screen resumes and application forms
  • Manage HR filling, new staff member, exiting staff, training report files, events file, HR policy file and any other relevant files.
  • Post, update and remove job ads from job boards, careers pages and social networks if required.
  • Address employee queries about benefits (i.e number of remaining annual days)
  • Preparing of staff requests for National staff

Admin and Protocol

  • Keep records for diplomatic registration with DIRCO.
  • Writing note verbal and correspondence letters.
  • Help in maintaining of database for both IT and other office asserts.
  • Assist with booking of flights, shuttle and accommodation.
  • Assist with ordering office laptops
  • Other admin duties

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:

  • Must have completed a University Diploma or Degree in administrative management or any related degree
  • Must have at least 1 years of experience
  • Must have proven credibility in relation to organisational development and capacity enhancement, change management, and related aspects
  • Must have Creative Problem Solving skills
  • Must have strong written and oral communication skills
  • Must be focused on quality and standards, results, and accountability
  • Must be able to build partnerships and network effectively with the governments, agencies, and own peers, staff
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Must be fluent in spoken and written English
