DETAILS ABOUT THE LEARNERSHIP PROGRAMME:

Location: Gauteng
Duration: 12 months (starting on 1 February 2023 and ending on 31 January 2024)
Stipend: R3 000 per month

Metropolitan is offering a claims learnership opportunity to unemployed candidates living in the Gauteng. The Learnership programme will provide an opportunity to develop your potential and create a bright future at an industry-leading health business. Metropolitan is looking for candidates who are dynamic, self-starters who are passionate about client service.

The Learnership provides an opportunity for candidates to gain theoretical knowledge and practical experience in the workplace. This work-based learning programme leads to a National Certificate in Contact Centre Support, NQF level 3. Although completion of the the Learnership does not guarantee full-time employment, it allows invaluable experience for you to kick start your career as it enables bassists learners to prepare for the workplace and promotes access to increased employment opportunities within the Medical Aid Administration and insurance industry.
 

Duties & Responsibilities of the programme:

  • Attend classroom activities and practical on-the-job training as well as carry out functions in line with the Learnership as required momentum Metropolitan.
  • Acquire knowledge of company products, policies, and procedures in order to be successful at on-the-job training activities.
  • Compile a Portfolio of Evidence for submission to SETA.
  • Complete logbooks for work-based learning.
  • Complete formative and summative assessments and achieve the required level.
  • Demonstrate skills in using the company's systems and understanding operational processes.
  • Conduct yourself as an employee of Momentum Metropolitan and display the MMH values.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:

Before applying, please ensure that you meet ALL of the following minimum entry criteria – failure to satisfy all the requirements will result in your application being disqualified:

  • Must be a South African citizen
  • Must be between the ages of 18 and 30 years
  • Must have completed Grade 12/ Matric
  • Must have passed Mathematics or Mathematical literacy with minimum of 40%
  • Must have passed English and 1 other official South African language with a minimum of 40%
  • Advantageous: computer literate
  • Must be unemployed
  • Must be available for the full duration of the programme (Feb 2023 to Jan 2024)
  • Must be able to commute to the workplace
  • Must NOT be studying at the tertiary level during the duration of the Learnership (part-time or full-time)
  • Must NOT have completed the same leadership previously
  • Must demonstrate commitment to working within the medical scheme industry
  • Must pay close attention to detail
  • Must be able to work under pressure while being client centric at all times
  • Must have good communication skills with the ability to access and use information
  • Must be able to think on one's feet and problem solve
  • Must be collaborative and inclusive
  • Must be able to self-manage
  • Must be results-driven
