DETAILS ABOUT THE LEARNERSHIP PROGRAMME:

Sibanye Stillwater Academy is offering a learnership opportunity to a young candidate interested in the Mining Industry. The candidate will be tested on various competencies to ensure efficient and safe blasting as well as other underground environment mining activities. Upon successful completion of this learnership, the candidate will acquire a Blasting Certificate Underground Hard Rock (NQF 3).
 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:

Before applying, please ensure that you meet ALL of the following minimum entry criteria – failure to satisfy all the requirements will result in your application being disqualified:

  • Must have completed Matric (NSC) or equivalent NQF with a high aggregate in Pure Mathematics and English Communication as subjects
  • Must be from Sibanye Stillwater's local and labour sending communities
  • Must be interested in completing a mining learnership
  • Must achieve a minimum score of 3 on the psychometric evaluation
  • Must have a South African Police Service clearance certificate
  • Must be medically fit and healthy (this will be determined by an examination performed at Sibanye Stillwater Occupational Health Centre)
  • Added advantage: achieved good results for Pure Mathematics and English in Matric with good results
  • Added advantage: achieved a score of 4 or more on the psychometric evaluation
