DETAILS ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME:

Locations: Sandton, Gauteng
Contract duration: 10 months
Programme Date: March to December 2021

Pfizer Supply-Chain is offering a full-time (flexible) internship in their Global Supply-Chain department. This programme is open to 'Top University Graduates' and aims to equip the candidate with relevant work experience.
 

Key Performance Areas of the Programme:

  • Ensuring the end to end import permit process is managed with a key focus on: applying and sending permits to the requesting plant and ELC, and communicating with the Demand Planner about potential risks pertaining to product supply as well as taking action to alleviate this
  • According to the schedule, providing assistance with on-time product receipts by issuing pre-alert (ASN) at the Logistics Service Provider (LSP)
  • Supporting the business process by processing purchase orders
  • Preparing the QA location report on a weekly basis and diligently following up on local release lead-teams for important shipments
  • Collecting data to aid end to end analysis for the in-market Supply Chain process with a key focus on: Mastering data; providing support for the market to market process review and analysis for receiving market; gaining a clear understanding of the Supply Chain Metrics and ensuring sale paces and proactive flag of overselling products are reviewed.
  • Providing assistance with the Inter-Company Operations queries resolutions
  • Providing assistance with the LSP distribution cost review and reconciliation
  • Organising the development of a budget tracker for all logistics costs in both South Africa and Kenya as well as working closely with local finance to comprehend the financial reporting process

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:

  • Must be a South African Citizen
  • Must have completed a Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain/ Finance or Logistics
  • Must be an undergraduate student looking for work experience
  • Must reside in Johannesburg
  • Must be under the age of 25 years old
  • Must be interested in Transport, Project Management, Logistics and Supply Chain
  • Must have excellent communication skills
  • Must have excellent computer knowledge
  • Must be analytical
  • Must be able to work well in a team and have excellent interpersonal skills
  • Must be goal-driven, energetic and proactive
  • Must be responsible
  • Must be able to handle instructions
