DETAILS ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME:

Location: Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal
Contract duration: 12 months

Rio Tinto is offering an Internship programme to enthusiastic graduates who are interested in developing and strengthening their skills and industrial experience.

The internship is available in these fields: Engineering, Supply Chain & Logistics, Human Resources, Communication and Stakeholder Relations.

Interns will join the Rio Tinto RBM team, where they will receive real work experience at one of the largest mining and metal companies in the world, focused on safety and inclusion. Interns will work with the newest technology and innovation, in an environment where they are challenged to drive positive change.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:

Before applying, please ensure that you meet ALL of the following minimum entry criteria – failure to satisfy all the requirements will result in your application being disqualified:

  • Must have completed a National Diploma in any of these fields: Electrical Engineering Heavy Current, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mining Engineering, Media and Communication, Community Development, Public Administration, Human Resources related
  • Must have a safety mindset
  • Must have strong leadership skills
  • Must be eagerness to learn
  • Must be ready for a challenge
  • Must have strong communication skills
  • Must be able to work in a team
  • Must have a valid driving license
