DETAILS ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME:

Location: Silverton, Pretoria, Gauteng
Number of positions available: 8
Duration: 2 years
Stipend: R13 000 per month

CGS is offering an internship opportunity to candidates interested in pursuing a career in Geoscience. The internship programme aims to support candidates by providing them with practical work experience and exposure to work areas within their respective fields.
 

Business Unit and Fields of study:

  • Business Unit: Office of the CEO - Field of study: Geology
  • Business Unit: Office of the CEO - Field of study: Hydrology
  • Business Unit: Office of the CEO - Field of study: Law
  • Business Unit: Communications and stakeholder relations - Field of study: Marketing/ Communications/ Public/ Stakeholder relations
  • Business Unit: Human Resources - Field of study: Human Resources

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:

Before applying, please ensure that you meet ALL of the following minimum entry criteria – failure to satisfy all the requirements will result in your application being disqualified:

  • Must have completed Matric/ Grade 12
  • Must have completed the following qualifications:
    • Geology: Must have a BSc Honours in Geology/ equivalent
    • Hydrology: Must have a BSc Honours in Hydrology/ equivalent
    • Law: Must have a National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Law/Legal Studies OR Must have a Bachelor's Degree (NQF level 7) in Law/Legal Studies (advantageous)
    • Marketing/ Communications/Public/ Stakeholder Relations: Must have a National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Marketing/Communications/Public Relations OR Must have a postgraduate qualification (advantageous)
    • Human Resources: Must have a National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Human Resources Management/ equivalent OR Must have a Postgraduate qualification (advantageous)
  • Must be computer literate with proficiency in Ms. Office
  • Must be fluent in English
  • Must be highly organized
  • Must be able to meet all deadlines
  • Must have excellent report writing abilities
  • Must have excellent analytical skills
  • Must have strong attention to detail
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills
  • Must be eager
  • Must show a willingness to learn
