DETAILS ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME:
Location: Cape Town, Western Cape
Duration: 12 days (4 July 2022 to 15 July 2022)
Allan Gray is offering an IT Internship opportunity to students interested in pursuing a career as a Software Developer. This programe will take place during the candidate's vacation and will expose them to exciting tech stacks within the industry.
The programme aims to employ hardworking and eager individuals from various campuses around South Africa who will aid the company is launching new projects. Such projects include creating software programmes to solve real-world business problems. To achieve this, the candidate will be exposed to new technologies, insights, and will receive mentoring from leaders within the company.
The candidate will also be granted the opportunity to present their final solution to senior management at Allan Gray and will receive benefits such as having their accommodation covered, free lunches, and coffee. The programme will run from the 4th to the 15th of July 2022.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:
Before applying, please ensure that you meet ALL of the following minimum entry criteria – failure to satisfy all the requirements will result in your application being disqualified:
- Must be currently studying towards a Bachelor's Degree with a Computer Science or Information Systems major
- Must be passionate about software development (e.g. design, coding, testing)
- Must have leadership capabilities
- Must have an enquiring mind
- Must have excellent problem-solving skills

An outline for the interview process:
- A 1-hour telephonic interview
- A 3-hour coding assignment (completed at home and in your own time)
- A 2 hour onsite/ remote technical and cultural interview
- A 1.5hour session of psychometric tests (completed in your own time)
