DETAILS ABOUT THE LEARNERSHIP PROGRAMME:

Locations: Umbogintwini, KwaZulu-Natal & Sasolburg, Free State
Number of positions available: 14 (4 in Umbogintwini and 10 in Sasolburg)

AECI Mining Chemicals is offering an NQF-2 Chemical Operations Learnership opportunity to students who have completed their Matric with Mathematics and Science. Learners will assist the plant operator with daily duties and perform Ad-Hoc duties.
 

Key Performance Areas of the Programme:

  • Ensuring that shifts and overtime duties are completed
  • Ensuring bags are emptied and refiled
  • Ensuring that raw materials and bags are loaded and offloaded
  • Ensuring the general upkeep of the plant
  • Ensuring tasks are executed with the plant operator’s assistance
  • Ensuring production process documentation is completed in accordance with the process requirements
  • Ensuring the process monitoring of competency deceleration's
  • Performing instructions set out by the Team Leader
  • Perform Ad-Hoc duties

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:

Before applying, please ensure that you meet ALL of the following minimum entry criteria – failure to satisfy all the requirements will result in your application being disqualified:

  • Must have completed Matric/ Grade 12 with Mathematics and Science as subjects
  • Must be between 18 and 25 years old
  • Must have basic computer knowledge
  • Must have high attention to detail
  • Must have excellent communication skills
  • Must have good time management skills
  • Must be able to work well in a team
  • Must have excellent safety awareness
  • Must be able to work at heights and in confined spaces
  • Must be medically fit to work in a chemical environment
  • Must be able to complete training to drive a forklift
  • Must be able to work shifts and overtime duties when required
