DETAILS ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME:

Location: Modderfontein, Gauteng

ABB South Africa are inviting graduates to apply for the position of Intern/ Trainee at the company. The position will afford young graduates to gain hands on experience and the chance to develop their skills, in their field. The programme works on the 70:20:10 model of Learning and Development, which includes 3 types of learning: 70% is hands-on learning, 20% is asking questions and 10% is classroom learning.
 

In today's times, graduates cannot get by on hard skills (technical) skills alone, they also require soft skills (practical), and that is what the ABB Internship provides. Graduates with these qualifications are suitable for this internship position:
1) Supply Chain Management or Logistics: interns will be responsible for supporting the department in charge of ABB’s transport, trade, logistics and Supply Chain Management.
2) Legal and Integrity: interns will be responsible for supporting the Legal department in charge of ABB’s legality matters.
3) Finance and Controlling: interns will be responsible for supporting the Finance department in charge of handling ABB’s Finance and controlling matters.
4) Electrical Engineering: interns will be responsible for supporting the Electrical Engineering department with their daily duties.
5) Mechanical Engineering: interns will be responsible for supporting the Mechanical Engineering department with their daily duties.
 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:

General Requirements:

  • Must have completed a Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma qualification in any of these fields: Finance / Law / Supply Chain Management / Logistics / Electrical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering
  • Must have strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Must have strong presentation skills
  • Must have strong leadership skills
  • Must have a high level of confidence
